How to start DaisyGIS ?
Start ArcView and create a new ArcView view. Go to the File menu and select Extensions and select “DHI Daisy – DK standardiseret” and click OK. Hereby the DaisyGIS extension is loaded to ArcView and you will see a new menu “Daisy” appearing in the menu bar. • Can DaisyGIS work without maps or geo-referenced data? Yes, in the Daisy menu, there is a tools box, from where there is a facility to make a Daisygis-theme based on non geo-referenced data i.e. via a tab-formattet text-file. Each line in the text-file specifies one unique Daisy column and must contain five columns consisting of the following information: Landuse code, area of polygon (in ha), path to climate-file, soil code and a code for the lower boundary condition. For an example please refer to the DaisyGIS User Manual. • DaisyGIS dialogs “freeze” when Arcview have been minimized by e.g. (ctrl+m)? This is caused by an error in ArcView, which DHI cannot correct. If it happens maximize ArcView and save your project and restart
