How to Make a Spider Web?
If you have a roll of string, you can make a spider web. Let’s say, just for the heck of it, that you want a web that is 18 inches wide. You will need to cut 4 sections of string, each 18 inches long. Take 2 of the strings and create a plus (+) sign. Tape the edges down onto the table to keep them in place for now. Take the other 2 pieces and center them over the + sign, only this time you will be making an x. Tape these two down, also. You will now have what looks like a pizza cut into 8 equal slices. And here comes the fun part. Using the remaining string, cut off a section about 6 feet long. With one one of the cut string, tie a knot into one string about 3 inches from the center. Carry the string over one direction to the next string, leaving a little bit of slack in the string so that it kind of hangs from one string to the next. Carefully knot at the intersection.
