How to Care for Pewter
Pewter is extremely easy to care for and can last a lifetime if cared for properly. Unlike silver, pewter will not tarnish, rust or corrode.Hand wash all pewter in warm soapy water and dry immediately with a soft cloth. It is recommended that you polish your pewter once a year with a pewter polish such as Mishs. If your pewter becomes scratched, you can love the character that comes with the appearance, or use 0000 steel wool and gently rub with the grain.
