How strong is the Prudential With-Profits Fund?
Our With-Profits Fund is one of the largest and financially strongest in the UK and has funds under management of 61.6 bn at 31 December 2009. Our overriding priority has always been to maintain the long-term financial security of the Fund to deliver strong performance to our planholders. The Fund is supported by a substantial Inherited Estate (estimated 6.2bn at 31 December 2009) which provides the working capital required to support the Fund for the long term benefit of our customers. We believe we’re in a good position to deliver the results our customers need and will continue to support fair bonuses. Prudential receives one of the highest ratings by Standard & Poor’s, the leading independent credit rating agency, for financial strength (AA as at March 2010).
