How should I use carbamide peroxide?
Use this medication exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use it in larger amounts or for longer than recommended. This medication comes with patient instructions for safe and effective use. Follow these directions carefully. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions. The usual dose of this medication for children is 1 to 5 drops per ear twice daily. The usual dose for adults is 5 to 10 drops per ear twice daily. Follow your doctor’s instructions. Carbamide peroxide may be used for up to 4 days, unless your doctor has told you otherwise. To use the ear drops, first remove the cap from the dropper bottle. Lie down or tilt your head with your ear facing upward. Pull back on your ear gently to open up the ear canal. Hold the dropper upside down over your ear canal and drop the correct number of ear drops into the ear. You may hear a bubbling sound inside your ear after putting in the drops.
