How much overhead does ForeCast Managers polling generate on the network?
As opposed to centralized polling, the distributed polling by ForeCast Servers imposes low network overhead. For a 30-second polling cycle, polling 1000 elements will take approximately 0.4% of 100BaseT. When the distributed ForeCast Servers send the data to the Master it takes bandwidth of less than 1 Web hit per day, per server.
