How much does an HSA cost?
An HSA is not something you purchase; it’s a savings account into which you can deposit money on a tax-preferred basis. The only product you purchase with an HSA is a High Deductible Health Plan, an inexpensive plan that will cover you should your medical expenses exceed the funds you have in your HSA. However, HSA trustees often will charge fees for their services.
The set up fee is currently waived for all new customers. A monthly service fee of $3 for members and $4 for nonmembers applies in order to maintain an account. In addition, there are other fees that may apply depending upon the services you select from UMB (e.g. account closing fees, etc.). A fee schedule will be provided with your enrollment kit.
