Clinical experiences are linked to clinical education courses in the Athletic Training Program. Students begin formal clinical education in the freshmen year and are required to complete a minimum of six clinical education experiences prior to being fully admitted to the ATEP. Following full admission to the program, students complete five seemsters of clincial education in a wide variety of settings. Athletic training students complete approximately ten hours per week during the initial semester following full admission to the program and approximately twenty hours per week at practices, events, and rehabilitation sessions during the next four semesters.
