Manufacturers of media have performed statistical and enhanced lifecycle testing on media and they estimate the shelf life of CD-R media to be between 5 and 10 years. The Mitsumi CR Series should work with all CD-R media. Extensive testing has been done using Kodak and Taiyo Yuden which are the media manufacturers Mitsumi recommend.
