The time can vary depending on the procedure. For the initial appointment I tend to dedicate 2 – 3 hours. Much of that time is spent choosing colours, design and allowing the topical anesthetics to take effect. I place a great deal of importance on attention to detail; therefore I never rush my work.

It depends upon how many grafts are required; usually a procedure for a thousand grafts takes 2-3 hours. 1,500 grafts take about 3-4 hours. If more than 2,000 are required the procedure would take about 5-6 hours.

Smaller areas- such as the underarms, upper lip, or bikini line- can be treated in about five minutes. A woman’s legs or a man’s back can be treated in only about 30-45 minutes!
