You can schedule appointments for 25 or 50 minutes, but we recommend 50-minute appointments. If we finish our consultation before the end of your appointment time, we will encourage you to continue working on your writing while your ideas are still fresh.

Pre-scheduled appointments for undergraduate students are typically thirty minutes long. Graduate student appointments are typically one hour. However, a variety of services exist that might also suit your needs. For example, advising consultations, office hours, and resource room “drop-ins” are typically shorter, but more frequently available.

Appointments are usually scheduled for either 30 or 60 minutes depending on the type of assistance you need. We also have counselors available on a walk-in basis for “quick questions.
