How is the test scored?

A student’s score is the number of correct answers made for the multiple-choice questions. Students will not receive their test score at the end of the test. It will be sent directly to RWU for analysis.

The scoring of the test is based on a sample of GED scores from 20,000 graduating high school seniors. The number of correct answers, or raw score, is converted to a standard score between 200-800. Examinees will be given standard scores only. To pass any individual subject test, a minimum standard score of 410 is required. Passing the entire GED exam requires a minimum standard score of 410 on each subject and a total standard score for all five subjects of 2250 or higher.
