How is the semester schedule different from the quarter schedule?
The quarter schedule is only 10 weeks long, as where the semester schedule is 15 weeks long. The educational quality of the two systems is generally the same, though the classes on the quarter schedule are generally quicker in their agendas, and fit this fast paced system. The quarter system allows students to take a better variety of classes within the academic year, but does not necessarily allow students to graduate sooner or later than if they were attending a College or University on the semester system. During the quarter schedule there is a one week quarter break between quarters. The Winter Quarter break is usually 3 weeks while the Summer break is often 2 weeks.
