The first module, Module A: Exploring Learning in Higher Education is assessed by a portfolio of 6000-8000 words based on tasks such as writing an educational autobiography, interviewing students about their learning, observing someone teaching in a different discipline, and a case study of assessment in a different discipline. The second module, module D: Developing the Curriculum in HE, is assessed by a portfolio of 6000-8000 words based on a sustained enquiry, empirical or literature based, on any aspect of curriculum development in HE and an oral presentation on the enquiry.
