How is the MBA financed?
The MBA is financed: 1) Through a direct donation in reply to our annual appeal. 2) A donation included with the AMA subscription. 3) Through donations from supporting organisations. In the past, donations have enabled the development of a moderate investment portfolio from which the Association derives an income. This income, combined with the donations, is spent on the beneficiaries in need, i.e. the doctors and their families in distress. Unfortunately, over the past few years donations have not matched the expenditure needs and hence the real value of our investment reserves is gradually declining.
