How is the grant to be evaluated?
For comprehensive longitudinal analysis, a hierarchical linear modeling (HLM) of the project will enable the evaluator to assess correlations between levels of teacher involvement in AHCC and improvements in the teacher and his/her students, accounting for the hierarchical structure of the data. This level of insight will prove extremely valuable to district, state, and national educational entities in determining the optimal, most efficient professional development approaches (in terms of frequency, duration, intensity, and type). Hierarchical linear model (HLM) analysis will follow the framework created by Anthony Bryk and Stephen Raudenbush (Sage Publications, 1992).
