How is the database integration performed?
Depending on the project requirements, the connection with your database will either be performed in batch mode or in real-time mode. Batch connection allows stand-alone VocaBase® operations. The data to be published will be exported from your database and re-imported in VocaBase®, each time you need an update. Real-time connection is suited for access to real time data. Most of the data to be published will be stored in VocaBase® and synchronised in real-time with your existing database. VocaBase® supports real-time interfaces allowing external applications to add, modify and delete objects in the database. In addition, spot business information (like stock prices for example), may be extracted on the fly by VocaBase® from external databases.
