How is the core of the earth heated?
The center of the earth is heated by the fision of atomic neuclii. This is because the radio-active heavy elements were the first to condence and to be pulled together by the gravity there. The process results in a number of less radio-active compounds being released including the gases helium (which comes out of oil wells and is usually not collected), and radon (which is still radio-active and can collect in cellars unless these are well ventilated). It is dangerous to us, cancer-producing if inhaled in large regular amounts.
Beacuase way back in the day earth wasnt even solid now all of the compacted atoms inside are constatly exploding like the sun it is very reactive almost 90%of the earts core is radioactive elements reacting with each other through radioactive decay and explosions it generates a massive amout of heat
The core of the earth is heated by the insanely large amount of pressure generated by the huge amount of mass sitting on top of the very small center of the earth. The force of gravity produced by all of the mass creates so much pressure it even melts stone to lava, and then the lava into plasma, which is a really cool form of energy. Your going to learn that as you increase the pressure on an object, the temperature of the object increases. check it out, If you were to lay a heavy brick on a block of ice, the pressure from the brick laying on the ice due to gravity would cause enough heat to start melting the ice.
