What most people do not realize is that stage hypnotist use techniques to identify the people in the audience who are willing to do the funny things that are suggested. That is why the first part of any stage hypnosis show has several people come up and participate. The stage hypnotist is testing for those people who will go along with the suggestions and the people who fail the testing get sent back to their seats. That means you can accept those suggestions easily and comfortably.
