How is Fast Track able to read custom code in the current release and compare it with V9.0 vanilla code? How is Fast Track able to read the code intelligently and not just count number of lines?
Fast Track has a built-in code parser to READ the code line by line, read the object references within each line of code and determine if those objects are impacted by changes in V9.0 code. We use Exam Diff to display the code comparison results but the real intelligence is in the reading of the code and understanding what that custom code refers to. All our clients that have used Fast Track agree that having knowledge of ‘what is different’ on 9.0 would be a great benefit. One of our sample reports titled ‘Sample Rpt – PeopleCode Change Detail.PDF’ provides impact detail for custom PeopleCode.
