HOW IMPORTANT ARE PRE-REQUISITES?
Prerequisites are STRICTLY enforced by the College of Business. There are two types of prerequisites that Business students should note: • Course prerequisites: A student must have the course prerequisites stated in the course bulletin/schedule BEFORE enrolling for a course, unless it is listed as a co-requisite. While the registration system will allow a student to register for the course, College of Business administration screens for completion of prerequisites two weeks before classes begin and will drop a student from the course if the prerequisite has not been met. • Class Standing Prerequisites: A student must have certain class standing in order to take select Business courses, i.e., ACCT201 requires Sophomore standing, or 30 hours COMPLETED. The registration system will not allow a student to register without proper class standing.
