How healthy is yogurt?
Yogurt is very healthy, it’s some of the additives to yogurt that aren’t so healthy. For example, yogurt for kids (Danimals and other brands marketed for children) tend to be filled with excess sugar. I’ve even seen yogurt packaged with sprinkles and little candy bits (think YoCrunch! yogurt, with mini MnM’s, Oreo crumbles, etc.) which is a lot of extra sugar and empty calories. But yogurt itself is very good for you – it’s high in calcium and protein, and it also has natural probiotics that are good for your digestive tract and overall immunity. Just look at the labels when you’re buying and shoot for yogurt with more protein and less sugar.
