How have the GEs changed?
In some cases, new requirements exist—most notably, a fine arts requirement, a literature requirement, a writing portfolio, writing-intensive courses in the major, research methods/presentation courses in the major, and new core courses emphasizing and combining U.S. history, political science, and diversity issues. In other cases, existing courses and requirements were retained or modified.
