Through the network port, remote diagnostics can give an instantaneous health status of the unit. Your service technician or Symmetricom service personnel (with password permission) can telnet the unit and find out what’s wrong with it. In case of a defect module, customers don’t have to send the whole unit back to Symmetricom for repairs, a simple exchange of the defective module (including CPU card) can solve the problem. You will be up and running in a very short time. This is possible because of the modular design of the system.
