How does the GreenServer work through my firewall?
It’s actually better than that. Since it has an integral router, firewall, hub, and wireless access point, you replace your existing wireless router/firewall/hub with the GreenServer, and we take care of everything. There’s a clear advantage to this. Normally, you have to open a port in your firewall to get the best possible Bittorrent performance. Doing that, though, exposes your network to the outside world. So, ideally, you want to put a Bittorrent peer in a firewall’s “DMZ” (Demilitarized Zone), but that’s a little too much complexity for the average home network. We solve that problem for you by creating a DMZ inside the GreenServer, and running our Bittorrent client inside it. That way it can be reached by trackers and peers without exposing your private network to the outside world, and your PC can reach it without risk. If, for some reason, you’re stuck behind a firewall that you’re not in a position to replac
