How does the Distributed Asset System work?
The D3 System deploys edge servers, called Edge Accelerators, at the primary usage points, eliminating bandwidth congestion by pushing larger media files (like dailies or trailers) out to the end user’s location. This way, they are accessing media files over their local area network as opposed to the Internet – eliminating buffering problems and keeping IT happy.
