How does the claims process work with mail order prescriptions on BCBS Low and BCBS High plans?
• • You mail your paperwork to Prime Therapeutics, Blue Cross Blue Shields mail order prescription administrator, to obtain your mail order prescription drugs. • Prime Therapeutics checks to see if you have an HSA when processing the order. • If there is enough money in your HSA, Prime Therapeutics will access the HSA funds to cover the cost. • If there is not enough money in your HSA account, Prime Therapeutics will call you and ask how you would like to pay for the order. You can pay by credit card over the phone, or Prime Therapeutics can return your paperwork to you so you can resubmit the order with a check. • You will be charged for the full 90-day supply.
