How does the application process work?
Once an application is received in our office it is processed immediately and assuming everything regarding the company is in order, it is passed on to the respective institution(s) for their approval. Once both the school and SMA have approved a licensee applicant, the applicant will be provided with the information necessary to submit the required liability insurance certificate. Upon receipt of this certificate, the license agreement will be forwarded to the applicant.
Once you submit your application, you will be notified either by mail or e-mail that your application has been received. Missing information will result in an incomplete application and it will not be processed. All eligible applications will be considered and potentially reimbursed when assessed according to the criteria outlined on the application form. Once your application has been reviewed, an acknowledgement letter will be issued with a decision.
Applicants will complete an application online at Texas Tech Employment Website from any computer with Web access. Applicants can view open positions and apply to any listed by answering job-related questions. If referred, the application documentation will be immediately viewable by the hiring manager.
Once you have submitted your application the TAF administrator will check the application for eligibility. It will then be reviewed internally by the named host and Facilities Managers and passed to the User Selection Panel. The User Selection Panel will consist of an internal staff member from each of the institutions within your chosen TAF and an equal number of external international reviewers. The Panel usually consists of 4 people. They will then review each of the TAF applications and meet at the TAF for a daylong meeting to discuss the applications. The TAF administrator will act as secretary and note the results of the meeting. These results will then be sent to the applicant via email.
Our application form is simple, quick, and easy. You need your current passport and, as notified above, the one in which you’ll be traveling to Australia with. Enter in all of the relevant information and it will be automatically sent off into our queue for processing. Once payment has been received for your ETA, we will then go ahead with the processing and will fax and/or e-mail you the confirmation of your ETA transaction response. Although this is not required for you to take with you to the airport, it’s a confirmation that we processed your passport. That’s really it! Take your passport to the airport as usual and be prepared to show it to the airline(s) and/or immigration services, which will confirm that you have an active and approved ETA.
