Search locations by street name, city name, ZIP code, or house number. Enter keywords, and start the search query. You can insert only part of definition and the start search query. Scroll the list of results or narrow down the search by writing more details for definition. You can also search using free-text.

When you type a name in the address book and request a search, the search finds all occurrences of each name you enter. For example, if you type “Gerald Smith,” all occurrences of “Gerald” and “Smith” are displayed. To shorten your search, try entering the least common name first. For example, if you simply search “Gerald,” only names containing “Gerald” will display.

On completing your profile click the Address search link and enter your postcode. You will be presented with a list of house numbers that match your postcode and you can then select the right one. The full address details will then be automatically transferred into the address panel of the profile page.

If the user has allowed Nokia Maps to use internet connection, the search is done on the server and downloaded to the client. If the user has not allowed internet connection or it there is no internet connection available, the address is searched from the map data that has been downloaded to the phone. If sufficient map data is not available, no results may be found for a specific query.
