How does synthetic grass impact the environment?
Environmentally friendly in origin, application, usage, disposal, sustainability and water conservation, crumb (granules) tire rubber has been safely utilized in synthetic grass sports fields since it was introduced in 1997, and in playgrounds and tracks for much longer. Scrap tires are not considered a hazardous waste when used for this purpose. Crumb material from granulated used tires for playgrounds, running tracks, and sports fields not only helps us recycle this material, but in an environmentally beneficial manner. This Eco-friendly approach of dispersal helps to recycle millions of used auto tires per year, tires that would otherwise end up in landfills around this country.
