How does Spam-Aware work?
Spam-Aware runs between your mail application and the remote server hosting your mail accounts. When you request reception of pending messages, your mail application connects locally to Spam-Aware. Spam-Aware then connects to the remote mail server to analyse the pending messages and select the messages to be blocked (considered as spam) and the messages to be accepted. Once filtering is done, Spam-Aware sends accepted messages to your mail application and blocks others. You will therefore not receive spam messages in your mail application.
