How does Lipolysis occur?
Our body needs energy reserves which are stocked in the adipocytes (fat cells). The lipolysis (de-storage phenomenon) is the opposite process of lipogenesis (storage phenomenon). The fat is used as energy for the body needs. Normally, the fat is steady when lipolyse and lipogenesis are well balanced. This fat mass reduces when the fat consumption is more important than the input of lipids and glucides.
