Students in the Advanced Topics in Mathematics II course have the option to enroll for college credits through SDSU. For the fall semester, the SDSU class is Math 241 Mathematics Software Workshop (1 semester unit). For the spring semester, the SDSU class is Math 118 Topics in Mathematics (3 semester units). Students who opt for college credits are expected to keep the Advanced Topics in Mathematics II course on their TPHS transcripts. This are special courses and are not as recognizable as Calculus II, Calculus III, and Linear Algebra, so some colleges may not accept Math 241 or Math 118 for transfer credits. Students will want to keep the class on their high school transcripts as evidence of taking the class (especially in the fall, since Math 241 is only a one unit course). Note: Advanced Topics in Mathematics II is a new course as of the 2006-07 school year, so we do not yet have any transfer experiences for reference.
