How does Imago therapy help?
A major assumption of Imago Relationship Therapy is that the psychological purpose of marriage is to provide a context for the healing of childhood wounds and the growth/expansion of the human spirit. At its best, marriage provides us with a secure emotional attachment, gives us someone to turn to at the end of the day, strengthens our identity as a lovable worthwhile person, and gives a reason to continue growing and becoming more competent in the world.
