How does ETD work?
• Complete your thesis and download the paper Form 9 and print it on 100 percent cotton rag paper (available from Betty). • Pass your defense and have me approve the format; get all signatures on the form 9. • Make deposit appointment with University Thesis Office. • Pay the microfilming fee at the Bursar’s Office. • Download ETD Form 9, complete it, and save it as uneditable PDF (with Acrobat Pro). • Download Form 19, complete and print it on cotton paper, then save it without signatures as a PDF • Prepare a single PDF of thesis PDF and ETD Form 9 • Read the instructions for ETD (download from University Thesis site) and ask questions. • Try out ProQuest demonstration site http://dissertations.umi.com/marin/. This is an imaginary university. Ignore any statements that conflict with Purdue requirements. • Gather PDF, abstract file, personal info, and credit card info (if you want to order copies or register the copyright). • Establish a personal account and make the ETD deposit. • Wait
