How does DTS play back video in cinemas?
Video content can be played back with the DTS XD10 Cinema Media Player, when the unit is equipped with the HD Video option. DTS-encoded content can be loaded via physical media (ie, discs) or downloaded via the Internet using a DTS Cinema Server and network software. The XD10 is capable of playing high definition (HD) video in units made beginning in 2006. DTS is used to deliver video content but does not produce it.
