How does a Featured Listing work?
When a consumer searches on the WebMD Physician Directory for a physician, they are presented with multiple listings of physicians on the ‘Results’ page who meet the search criteria. The standard search radius for searches by ZIP code or by City is 10 miles, but many patients search up to 100 miles from their home, or the entire state when searching for specialists. The basic listings returned and displayed on the Results pages are often several pages long. Most users view the first page before selecting a physician.
