Whatever the reason, walking your dog on a treadmill may be the perfect solution for your problem. It allows both you and your dog to get exercise in a controlled, comfortable environment. Make your dog comfortable with the treadmill. Allow him to get used to being next to it while it’s running. Do not force him to get on the first time he sees it. Put the dog’s collar and leash on.
