How Do You Uninstall Apple Itunes?
Apple’s iTunes is the music player and manager included as part of the Mac OS X operating system. In some cases, in order to troubleshoot iTunes or resolve other issues, you may need to completely uninstall iTunes. Apple recommends that you run Disk Utility to repair the disk and disk permissions before taking the step of uninstalling iTunes. Go to the “Applications” folder. Click on the iTunes icon, drag it to the “Trash” and drop it when the “Trash” darkens. Open the “Utilities” folder in the “Applications” folder. Double click on the “Activity Monitor.” Click on the “iTunes Helper” in the list in the main menu to select it. Click the “Quit Process” button in the upper left corner of the window. Click “Quit” in the onscreen prompt. Choose “Quit” from the “Activity Monitor” menu to leave the Activity Monitor. Go to the “Apple” menu in the “Finder,” highlight “System Preferences” and click on “Accounts.” Select the “Login Items” tab. Select the iTunesHelper and click “-” to delete it.
