How Do You Troubleshoot A Maytag Gas Dryer?
Maytag has gas and electric dryers, and both can save countless hours when completing daily chores, but when they are in need of repair it’s hard to imagine what we ever did without them. You can always call in a professional or make a service request to Maytag, but there are things you can do to troubleshoot your Maytag gas dryer which might save a few dollars. Deselect the air fluff or air only temperature control. These settings do not add heat and will take longer to dry. Additionally, if the Wrinkle Prevent option is selected, on some models the dryer will not start. Reset the Controls Lock. If the Controls status light is on some models will not start. Press and hold the Cycle signal button for at least three seconds to turn the Controls Locked feature off. Open the gas shutoff valve. If the valve is closed the dryer will not heat.
