This method works for plastic and glass bottles. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends sterilizing baby bottles by boiling them for five minutes before the first use. Weekly sterilization to prevent buildup of bacteria and to prevent disease is highly recommended. Fill your pot with water to about 3 inches from the top. Don’t add salt to water.
