How Do You Start Model Jet Engines?
Model jets are advanced and complicated pieces of machinery which require careful handling at all stages of operation. This includes starting the engines for flight. Model jet engines work just like actual jet engines and require multiple steps to start them. If a mistake in the process is made, the engine may not start at all or may malfunction, leading to expensive repairs. Fill the fuel tank of your model jet with the specially formulated high octane fuel created for RC jet engines. Add the starter fuel to the aircraft. Turn the radio transmitter on and the receiver located in the airplane. Check the airplane controls to be sure they are functioning correctly. Connect the glow ignitor to the glow plug in your airplane engine. When required to do so, the ignitor will heat the heating element located in the glow plug, causing it to glow white hot and ignite the fuel in the engine chamber. Start the turbines in the jet engine turning by directing the compressed air in the diver’s oxyge
