Thunderbird is an email program designed by Mozilla. In older versions of Thunderbird, new email accounts had to be set up step-by-step, with users manually inputting account information, including user name, password, incoming and outgoing mail servers, port numbers and security authentication settings. Fortunately, the newer 3.0 version of Thunderbird allows users to set up an account with an email provider such as Road Runner more easily.
