How Do You Remove Windows Genuine Notification Balloon?
If you are using a copy of the Windows XP operating system that is unlicensed, you may occasionally see a balloon open on your screen with a message about Windows Genuine Notification. This alert from Microsoft notifies you that you are using software that is not currently licensed. Remove future notifications by editing your computer’s registry database. Step 1 Open the Start menu and click on the “Run” icon. Step 2 Type “regedit” into the text box and hit “OK” to launch the Registry Editor. Step 3 Use the database tree on the left side of the window and navigate to the “My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify” section of the registry.
