Pour 1 cup of hot water into the spray bottle. Add 2 tbsp. of mild liquid laundry soap and 1 tbsp. of vinegar. Screw the top on tightly and shake to mix. Place the spoon at the edge of the rubber cement with the scoop side down. Push up, underneath the cement gently. Move the spoon to another side of the rubber cement and push up again. Complete this step for all sides and repeat twice. Using a spoon will lift some of the rubber cement out of the carpet without destroying the fibers. Vacuum the loose rubber cement.
