How Do You Remove A Stain On Pool Table Felt?
Keeping the felt on a pool table spotless can be a challenging task, especially on a table that receives a lot of attention or ever has drinks set on its edges. However, when done properly, removing stains from the felt of a pool table is a fairly easy process. Buy a product specifically for cleaning felt surfaces. Many new tables come with them, but these products also can be purchased at any billiards/pool table store. Remove any chalk dust or other debris with a felt brush and vacuum. The stained area needs to be completely free of chalk dust. Wet chalk can harden and alter the way the felt surface plays. Apply the cleaning product to the stained area. Many felt-cleaning products come in a spray bottle, so lightly misting the stain is necessary. Blot the stained area with a wet terry cloth. Do not scrub, as doing so can damage the felt. Allow time for the area to dry, and repeat the misting and blotting process as needed.
