How Do You Play Flash Games Offline?
Flash games are awesome. They’re all over the Internet, they’re creative, they’re funny, they’re fun and — most importantly — they’re free. But they’re also online, meaning an Internet connection’s generally needed to play them. Downloading them takes away this problem, but takes a little understanding of how the Internet works. Open your browser and head to the game you want to play, the way you normally would, but don’t play it. There’s work to do. Right-click on the web page (not the flash game itself) and click “View Page Source.” This will bring up the source code of the page, to be interpreted by browsers. It links to all files used by a website, including any flash games. Hit “Ctrl” and “f” at the same time to use the search function, and type “.swf” to find the Flash files in the web page. The file name of the game, as well as the folder it’s in, is now exposed. What does this information mean? See the screenshot as an example. The .swf file is in single quotes, and the ful
