There’s a simple work-around that does just fine to make your history disappear. Close all instances of Internet Explorer. Click on the “Start” button to bring up the Start Menu and then click on “Run…” Enter “Regedit” in the allotted space and press the “Enter” key or click on “OK.” This will pull up the Registry Editor. Navigate to the “TypedURLs” subkey by clicking along the following path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs.
