Here is a simple silk flower lei that adults as well as children will love to create. Use your own creativity to create a special lei. Leis are great for parties. This is also a great church Sunday school or school project for a child to make for Mother’s Day. You can purchase silk flowers at most craft stores and some department stores. Choose the colors and styles that you desire to make up your lei. Pull the little stem toppers that hold the petals on the stem off. This will free your petals off of the stems. Gather all of the silk flowers that you chose for making your silk lei. You can color coordinate with any theme or just use random colors and types of silk flowers. You may use any size and any color straws that will enhance the silk flowers that you chose for your lei. With scissors, cut the straws into 1″ segments.
