Hi gurrizzle. I know what you mean. The next time he just quotes you back, stop him, look at him and smile, and ask him if he really means it. Tell him that he doesn’t have to tell you anything back if he doesn’t mean it. I think that some guys think we’re fishing for compliments when we first compliment them, especially when we use words like “beautiful.” Help him realize that’s not where you’re coming from. It sounds like you have a very considerate and thoughtful Man there. He cares about how you feel.
